WELL TRYOUT SCHEDULE – SPRING 2024

Tryouts for all divisions will be held at West End Little League on Henderson Field (the Major League field) according to the schedule below for Major, Minor and Single A divisions. The tryout schedule will also be posted to our website and Facebook page.

All players registered in Major, Minor and Single A divisions must tryout in their respective playing division based on their Little League age for the 2024 season (refer to the LL Age Chart below).  Any player wishing to play up a Division must be approved by the Head Player Agent prior to tryouts.

Major League Division, Tuesday, January 9th, 2024: 

• Playing Age 12:  

  • Last Names A - K, 5:30 pm     

  • Last Names L - Z, 6:30 pm

• Playing Age 11:  

  • Last Names A - K, 7:30 pm     

  • Last Names L - Z, 8:30 pm

Minor League Division, Wednesday, January 10th, 2024:

• Playing Age 10:  

  • Last Names A - K, 5:30 pm     

  • Last Names L - Z, 6:30 pm

• Playing Age 9:    

  • Last Names A - K, 7:30 pm     

  • Last Names L - Z, 8:30 pm

Single A Division, Thursday, January 11th, 2024:

• Playing Age 8:  

  • Last Names A - K, 5:30 pm     

  • Last Names L - Z, 6:30 pm

We will NOT have a make-up tryout day.  Any players not attending tryouts for his/her playing division will be placed as a hat pick in the respective division drafts. 

Each player will run through several short drills which will include: fielding fly balls and grounders, throwing, hitting, running bases, etc.  

**ALL PLAYERS MUST TRYOUT USING A USA BASEBALL APPROVED BAT.  USA BASEBALL APPROVED BATS ARE THE ONLY BATS WHICH ARE LEGAL FOR PLAY IN LITTLE LEAGUE EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1, 2018.**  BATS THAT DO NOT HAVE THE APPROVED USA BASEBALL STAMP WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO BE USED IN TRYOUTS OR IN ANY LITTLE LEAGUE PRACTICES OR GAMES.  FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ON THE NEW USA BASEBALL BAT STANDARDS, AND A LISTING OF APPROVED BATS, PLEASE VISIT THE BAT INFORMATION LINK ON OUR WEBSITE.

There are a large number of kids who will be trying out in each division and the process will take some time.  We ask that you all please be patient with the volunteers who have organized and will be running the tryouts in each division.  Please show up at the appropriate time slot to check in and wait in the bleachers until called upon to move into the dugout. 

We do realize that there may be some scheduling conflicts with players who are also involved in other sports programs, etc.  If you have a scheduling conflict please attend the tryout as close as possible to the scheduled time for your child's playing division.
